The shop opened in Tokyo Midtown, a landmark in Roppongi, in 2007. It is easily distinguishable by the big noren curtain in front of the shop. A gallery has been set up inside the shop based on our wish to have customers enjoy the traditional cultures of Japan alongside wagashi. Exhibitions related to Japanese culture are showcased in the gallery. In the adjoining Toraya Karyo (tea room), visitors can enjoy menus such as anmitsu (agar jelly-based dessert with azuki bean paste and various toppings), kuzukiri(dessert like chilled noodle),and dashi rice(millet rice and seasonal vegetables with dashi stock) which is only served here.
