Handling of Personal Information by Toraya Group

1. Basic Policy

Toraya Group (refers to TORAYA Confectionery Co. Ltd., Kogen Co. Ltd., and Maison KEI Co. Ltd.; hereinafter, “the Group”) recognizes the importance of personal information, and regards the protection of personal information as its social responsibility. Policies set forth within this Handling of Personal Information by Toraya Group are based on all applicable domestic laws and ordinances.

5. Management of Personal Information

The Group will carefully manage the information provided to us by means of the following.

We will endeavor to ensure that the information provided to us remains accurate and up to date.

(2) Safety management measures

With regard to the organizational management of personal information, the Group strictly regulates how such information is handled in accordance with our internal rules concerning the protection of personal information, and we handle said information in accordance with these rules.

(3) Supervision of employees

The Group ensures that its employees strictly adhere to our internal rules concerning the protection of personal information.

(4) Supervision of contractors

When outsourcing the handling of personal information, we will entrust said information only to contractors who meet the requirements based on our internal rules regarding the protection of personal information, and will management them appropriately.

A retention period will be established for the information provided to us, and said information will be disposed of upon the expiration of the retention period. Furthermore, if said information is no longer required, it shall be promptly disposed of even if this occurs within the retention period.

7. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

(1) Basic principles

The Group will not provide the information provided to us to third parties without the prior consent of the individual, except where there are legitimate grounds, such as laws and ordinances, or in the case of (2) below. The Group may outsource the handling of personal information to other companies within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.

(2) Provision of personal information to various service companies

The Group may provide a customer’s personal data to e-commerce platform service providers, payment processing platform service companies, e-mail magazine distribution service companies, advertising distributors, and other third parties (including third parties located overseas) to the extent necessary in order to provide various services.

(3) Provision of personal information to third parties overseas, and contractors

In the event that personal data is provided to a third party located overseas for the commissioning of service provided by the Group, information on said third party (business operator), said service, and said country, etc. is currently as follows.
