Moon-viewing is a popular autumn custom in Japan, and one famous spot is Sarashina in northern Nagano Prefecture. Almost too beautiful to eat, this yokan whisks you to Sarashina to enjoy the gorgeous autumn full moon gracing the sky above the mountains. The bright moon and sky, made from gelled white bean paste, shine down on the dark mountains made from gelled azuki bean paste.
