Goshiki Ito: Threads in Five Colors

Goshiki Ito: Threads in Five Colors

The flavors of mint, ginger, plum, yuzu, and cinnamon are combined with wasambon sugar to create this variety pack of higashi. Threads dyed in five colors used to be hung by women from leafy bamboo branches during the Tanabata Star Festival in July. The threads represented their prayers for greater skill in weaving and sewing, and have evolved into a sort of charm for the fulfillment of wishes.
